I was told by the Dell sales agent that I may return my new Dell Studio laptop to the company within 30 days of purchase without any restock fees, without shipping fees, etc., for any reason.
Dell customer service and tech. support tell me otherwise. I am told that my return does not qualify for return without a 15% restock fee...even though parts are not working correctly.

The product returns specialist offered me $25 to keep the computer as is. When I told him I didn't want a computer that isn't right when it comes out of the box...he upped the offer to $75 if I keep the computer as is.

When I told him I really wanted to return the computer since I need one that works properly he said I didn't spend enough time with tech support on the phone to qualify for a no-restock fee return! I had spent over 4 and 1/2 hours already on the phone with Dell tech and customer service regarding various issues with my product and the problems associated with this sale.

I need someone from Dell, in America, who has authority to help me. I need this right now since my return time is closing.

I am very frustrated with the number of conflicting answers I am getting from various Dell agents. My friends and colleagues told me Dell was a reliable company...though now I am seeing that business with Dell is turning out to be a big mistake.

Please help ASAP.
