Poor Customer Service & Product - Inspiron 1720

We purchased a Dell Inspiron 1720 in February and on the following day, the problems started. My laptop has worked trouble-free about 90% of the time. I have tried to deal with Dell Tech Support. They have been very little help at all. It is difficul to understand most of the people I have spoken with. Each one of them thinks they have the answer to the problem. So far, no one has had the answer. Each time they say someone will call you on a specific date. No one ever calls. We have had Dell products for years and never had this many problems. I will not purchase another Dell computer ever and I let everyone that I associate with know of Dell's poor customer service and poor tech support.

I have experiences with most of the shopping sites and more complaints about indiatimes..Indiatimes i purchased two items and got it both damaged, when called they told me to sent it back....after that no response and no reply...i lost my money and time....I prefer you for online shopping- http://shop.sunsim.in .because from most of others i got poor customer service/defective product /no response...But from sunsim i shopped 5 times and they have a good customer care and also will deliver in proper time and good product...tradus.in is also somewhat ok, but they have no many products in site...try this http://www.sunsim.in and that make you feel happy...i am sure...forgot about old shopping experience and don't refer anyone there...Happy shopping!!! Have a nice time....

Dell's customer service does not exist. It just doesn't not have the key elements to a successful partnerhsip with their customers. They have agents who don't speak well. They have agents who dont'care or empathise and their wait time is ridiculous. I was told I was being put through to a manager, only to be back in the same queue.

I have had a consistent problem with the same notebook - Inspiron 1720...it randomly restarts...now the warranty has expired, the problem still exists...and Dell won't fix it...and my son doesn't have a notebook for college. Dell does not support its product. product support

Similar thing happened to us. What was a maximum 10 business day order cycle turned out to be 36 days and when the item (Vostro 1320) finally arrived parts were missing/underspecifications.

Dell's customer service is extremely disappointing. They don't e-mail back but their website claims e-mails will be attended to withint 1 business day. The sales person does not attend to our query/concern after the payment was processed which they were quick to do.

Buyers beware.
